April 2025 Update
We’re almost ready to begin pond treatments for the summer season. We expect to receive notice any day now with the date for our first treatment.
As a quick update: our treatment company, LakePro, was recently acquired by Tigris Aquatic Services (https://tigirusa.com). They’ve assured us this transition will be a positive one, with the same knowledgeable and helpful staff continuing to serve us. So far, everything appears to be business as usual.
We’re also pleased to share that residents around the Lone Oak pond will begin treatments this season, using the same professional pond management company we’ve partnered with.
As a reminder, the total cost for a full season of treatments is $5,644.08. To cover this cost and related expenses, we’re asking for the following contributions:
- $500 – Suggested contribution for households directly on Twin Islands Pond
- $250 – Suggested contribution for other neighbors who want to support this shared effort
- Or any amount you’re comfortable with — all support is welcome and appreciated.
We’re especially grateful to those who have already contributed to this year’s treatments—your early support helps us stay on track as initial payments come due. Thank you for being part of the effort!
Some residents have asked how to pay. We are currently accepting: Checks or Zelle electronic payments. Please visit our website for payment instructions: https://www.stonebridgeponds.com.
We know that passing the hat and self-funding pond treatments is not the long-term model we’d hoped for. We continue to explore alternatives, but progress has been slow. We did reach out again to the golf course, which unfortunately declined to participate — despite owning one-third of the pond. Disappointing, but we’ll keep trying.
Thanks to your support last year, the pond looked beautiful — and we expect similar results again this season.
